Programs
We are here to help!
Not every child has had the same type or level of trauma & so their needs are not the same.
We have 2 program levels of therapy to heal.
We work on a sliding scale & will provide services regardless of financial situation! Ability to pay is NOT an issue.
Able body & therapeutic riding lessons by a certified NARHA instructor (North American Riding for Handicapped Association)
on gentle therapy horses $30 per 45 minute lesson.
40 minute Trail Ride - $25 per person.
Every child entering our 18 week program is assessed by our behavior therapist to determine level of need & creates an individual treatment plan with specific goals.
The child can see where they will be at the end of the 18 weeks & wants to put their best efforts into creating in their own healing process because they see it will give them tools for a happy & successful life! We have fun most of time as part of the therapy :-)... Laughter IS the best medicine!
Every Saturday is Family Day at the Ranch.
Child abuse effects the whole family & so every member needs healing. As a part of any therapy program, we have Family Group on Saturdays so all effected can benefit from the mutual support of family unity by learning skills, participating in events & interact in a fun & healing time together.
Individual parent & sibling support is also offered through out the week.
* We can only accept children that are not violent, abusive or hostile as it would undermine the therapy & efforts to empower others in the group. We will refer to an appropriate treatment provider.
Levels of Therapy:
All Sessions last 18 weeks & include the equine, art & dialectical behavior therapy skills group:
Afternoon Session- 2 times a week after school for 2-3 hours per session.
Intensive Day Session- 4 hours per day, 6 days per week.
Call to set up an assessment & interview.
Pricing is on a sliding scale.
The children experience healing as being joyful when they befriend a horse, learn to express themselves creatively & experience the power of being able to change their thinking & beliefs about themselves.
Our combination of the three therapeutic models enables suffering youth to raise a shattered self esteem while acquire coping & behavioral skills that will benefit them immediately in the relief of inner turmoil as well as for the rest of their lives.
Equine therapy is an internationally recognized healing phenomenon that has broached chasms in helping abused children function & heal that no other form of therapy has been able to achieve.
They will experience joy as they make the choices to heal a little more each day with tangible results within every part of the process.We do not believe there is any benefit to retelling/reliving of the abuse in sterile clinical environments, but do know the results of core issues being addressed by being able to create a safe & healthy bond with an unconditionally loving animal, identification of feelings & thoughts using a creative solution to cope with the pain of memories & adaptive behaviors being substituted for self destructive ones.
